We have rental and sales apartments in the luxurious leasehold Century Center which is across the street from the Hawaii Convention Center and the Hard Rock Cafe, by the start to Waikiki. This magnificent high-rise of residential, commercial, and office/residential units is located on the corner of Kalakaua Ave and Kapiolani Blvd. The building’s many amenities and facilities include a 24-hour front desk, 24-hour security service, a fine restaurant, men’s and women’s exercise rooms (personal trainers for a fee), swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, conference and party rooms, bowling alley, pool table, table tennis, recreation deck, jogging track, tennis and paddle tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts ... it's like a resort! Water, basic electric and basic cable TV are included. Tenants may, at their expense, subscribe to broadband Internet and premium TV services, e.g., Aloha Satellites, and Hawaiian Telcom for DSL. Initial rental term is a minimum of 6 months. Assigned garage parking is optional for $150 per month. Century Center is very centrally located with several bus stops near the building, and is only a block from the entrance to Waikiki, about half a mile from Ala Moana Shopping Center (the state’s largest), Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club and Tokai University, about 2 miles from the University of Hawaii and Hawaii Pacific University (in the heart of downtown), about 3 miles from Costco, etc. All apartments have a full bath (unless otherwise noted) and central air conditioning. Also, all apartments have either a full kitchen or kitchenette (the tenant can use their own small appliances, eg, microwave, hot plate, toaster oven, rice cooker, etc.; see sample ad on "Rentals, p3").
General Manager Mike Baker assists clerk Albert at the Front Desk. Both of these men have been working at Century Center since its opening in 1978. A 24-hour Front Desk service provides added security, as well as the convenience of allowing couriers and visitors to leave items for pick up by Century Center tenants, and vice versa.
The jogging track is about seven laps to a mile and has a special shock absorbent material to reduce the strain to the ankles and knees. The swimming pool is centered in the middle of the track and is a refreshing way to end your day.
The Men's Gym is co-ed and well equipped for a complete body workout. There are professional trainers whose optional personal service is available for a fee, or you may work out on your own. There is also a separate Women's Gym.
The pool table is located in the Recreation Room along with the ping pong table. The room is available for social functions at no additional cost; commercial use is $20/hour.
This is the Private Sauna, which is used by reservation at the Front Desk.
The 2-lane bowling alley is located behind the Recreation Room. Balls and shoes are included in the nominal fee of $3/hour per lane.
